College students with Bucks County roots develop website to help people get vaccinated against COVID-19 | Southeastern Pennsylvania

It’s often in times of challenge that innovation prospers.

During the pandemic, three college students collaborated to create a resource for people interested in getting vaccinated.

Richie Goulazion of Newtown, Bucks County and Seth Rubinstein of Doylestown, worked with another college student to launch vaccinatepa.org.

“It’s been hugely rewarding. About 400,000 people in Pennsylvania have used the site since we started it in January, so pretty astonishing. We’ve also gotten hundreds of emails and notes just thanking us for the site,” Rubinstein said.

OutThere Colorado has received the ‘best local website’ award from the Local Media Association as part of their 2021 ‘Digital Innovation Awards’ presentation for the previous year.

Brands across the country were considered for the award, with OutThere Colorado competing in the ‘750,000 or more unique monthly visitors’ category.

New Orleans Library program connects residents to City Hall reps to solve community issues | Entertainment/Life

Got something on your mind that you want to share with City Hall? The New Orleans Public Library wants to help you make the connection.

The library is hosting community office hours every week through May  as part of a program intended to address important neighborhood issues effectively by connecting residents with neighborhood liaisons and city personnel through in-person or virtual appointments.

Appointments are available Mondays through Wednesdays and can be made online at nolalibrary.org/events or nola.gov, or by calling (504) 658-4933.
