There have been complaints for a few months now that one of PC case company NZXT’s products has been catching fire. This week, the company has finally apologised and removed the case from its store.

The issues concerned their H1 case, which is basically a very big, Xbox Series X-like box. As OC3D report, “It looks like the screws on the H1’s PCIe Riser Card are causing a short circuit, causing sparks to fly, smoke to generate and burns on the H1’s PCIe riser card.”

Facebook’s New App Prompt Will Encourage Users to Accept App and Website Tracking

In its ongoing feud with Apple regarding App Tracking Transparency, Facebook has announced that it will encourage users to allow tracking with “additional context” on a dedicated screen, according to an updated blog post.

iOS 14’s App Tracking Transparency feature will require developers to receive a user’s consent to track their activity across apps and websites and access their device’s random advertising identifier. Users will be presented with a prompt with options to “Allow Tracking” or “Ask App not to Track” when opening apps, such as Facebook, that wish to track their activity.

Comcast doubles the speed of its $10 Internet Essentials package

Comcast is doubling the speed of its Internet Essentials package, its $10-a-month product to connect low-income families to the internet. From March 1st, new and existing users will automatically be able to receive download speeds of up to 50 Mbps, and uploads up to 5 Mbps. PASIG CITY, Feb. 1 — As part of the whole-of-government approach in assisting learners, the Department of Education (DepEd) on Friday formally accepted e-learning gadget donations from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) during the turnover ceremony at South Harbor, Port Area.
